Pre-flight briefing
Upon arrival you will be welcomed by our friendly reception team. Light snacks and drinks are available to purchase along with a large array of pilot-themed gifts and goodies to remember your special day.
Family and friends
While you complete a quick form and meet your instructor, guests can enjoy a cup of tea and views of the airport runway in our dedicated viewing area.
Briefing
Your informative pre-flight briefing will cover aircraft safety factors, planned route (perhaps over your house!) and what you want to get out of the day's experience.
Your flight
After getting kitted out with a hi-viz jacket and an aviation headset, you will head to the aircraft where your instructor will get you settled in. Engine start, flight control and engine run-up checks completed, it's time to take off!
If your motivation is to learn to fly, your instructor will make sure to teach you the basic flight controls and manoeuvres before you get to try them for yourself, in this hands-on experience. Alternatively, simply sit back and enjoy the ride!
The views
Soar over historic university colleges, the surrounding Cambridgeshire countryside and even, where possible, your own house!
Cleared to Land
After touching back down at Cambridge Airport you will have more time to chat with your Pilot or Instructor about your experience, they are always happy to answer any questions you have about aviation and learning to fly!
You will also receive a Flight Certificate as proof of your first Flying Lesson which counts towards any future training should you catch the bug and want to become a Pilot!
Our reception staff will also be on hand should you wish to chat, pick up a PPL information pack or book more flights!

Flight Experience Sept 2022
It was an amazing experience and the views and flight journey were breathtaking. The team were very helpful and friendly. We had an amazing experience and actually got to fully control the Cessna 172. My flight instructor Tim Brown was very patient, informative, and friendly. He was happy to answer any questions and explained everything in detail, which eased any nerves. It was a great introduction to flying and made me want to do more.

A wonderful experience! Just the very best excitement! I had a wonderful and entertaining instructor who completely took my breath away when I was told I was to fly the plane. An amazing flight above the Cambridge skies, so exhilarating and a completely new experience.
